Sunshine Coast viewers tune to UHF 37

If you live on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland and you don’t receive Extra you can tune into Channel Nine by following the instructions below.
How to tune your TV
To get the best picture possible, you will need to have a suitable UHF antenna. You may already have one of these to receive Sunshine Coast television. Also ensure you have a good quality coaxial cable from your antenna to your TV and check that all connections are correct.
Then all you need to do is tune your TV or VCR to UHF 37. It’s easy. Just follow the tuning instruction in your manufacturer’s handbook. For some TVs, you may find either of the following instructions helpful.
Instructions for automatic channel selectors

Locate and open the control compartment, or the tuning menu on later models, and select a channel not in use.

If the TV is fitted with Automatic Fine Tune (AFT), turn it to “OFF”.

The screen may display the Band selection required or a Band Selector control to be pressed or tuned. This should be set to “U” or “UHF” position. The TV or VCR may do this automatically.

The channel you need to tune is UHF 37.

Press memory, save or execute control (if fitted), to ensure the new channel is now preset.

Return the Automatic Fine Tune (AFT) control to the “ON” or “AFT” position, if Step 2 was performed.
Instructions for touch tune or push button channel selectors

Locate and open the tuning control compartment and select a channel not in use.

Ensure the Automatic Fine Tuning (AFT) control is in the “OFF” position.

Identify the fine tune control and band selector that corresponds to the channel selector. Turn the band selector to the “U” or “UHF” position.

The channel you need to tune to is UHF 37.

Turn the Automatic Fine Tune (AFT) button to the “ON” position
