Lisa Honeywill
Lisa Honeywill joined Channel Nine Queensland in 2000.
Born in Cairns, she grew up in Brisbane and completed a Bachelor of Journalism at the University of Queensland. After graduating she was hired by Channel Ten Rockhampton as a news reporter in 1990.
A short time later, she was appointed WIN Television's News Editor in Cairns and then Townsville. It was in Townsville that Lisa covered her most memorable story to date, the Blackhawk Helicopter disaster.
Lisa travelled overseas in 1997, taking in the United Kingdom and Europe and spent time backpacking through Turkey. She returned home and was appointed Southern News Director for WIN Television in Toowoomba, where she oversaw the Darling Downs and Sunshine Coast news services. Lisa returned to Brisbane in 2000 as a reporter for Channel Nine's EXTRA.
In her spare time Lisa loves to cook and is a keen photographer.
