After working extensively in regional Queensland as a news journalist, Belinda Burrows joined the EXTRA team in 2004.
Born in central Queensland, Belinda moved to Brisbane at an early age and attended Sunnybank State High School and Queensland University of Technology.
In mid 1997, Belinda began regular work experience at Channel Nine's Gold Coast News Bureau - a move that resulted in a freelance reporting position after graduating with a Bachelor of Business in Journalism at the end of that same year.
Twelve months later, Belinda made the move north after accepting a full-time reporting position with WIN Television in Cairns. After eighteen months in the tropics, she transferred to WIN's Sunshine Coast office, taking up the role of police reporter. In 2001, Belinda was appointed newsreader for the WIN Toowoomba and WIN Sunshine Coast bulletins. It meant yet another move, this time to Toowoomba, where she also worked during the day as a reporter for the evening bulletin.
Two years later, Belinda moved to Brisbane and worked as a Public Relations Manager for a private company. After twelve months in PR, Belinda returned to television, taking up her current role as reporter for EXTRA.
In her spare time, Belinda loves nothing more than spending time with her husband, Jamie McDougall, whom she married in 2000.
